The Head MicroGel Extreme Team is a more-forgiving version of the standard Head MicroGel Extreme, with a larger 107 sq. in. head, 27″ length, 24mm/26mm beam, and lighter 9.5 oz unstrung weight. Head improved the geometrics of the new Extreme Team by changing the head size, making it wider and rounder. This increased width allows the ball to slide across a wider stringbed, generating greater spin velocity and providing more power. The Head Extreme Team also offers intermediate-level players an ultimate feel and unique touch through a new patented technology called MicroGel. When combined with carbon composite fibers in the racquet head, MicroGel deforms and compresses upon ball impact, uniformly absorbing and distributing the impact load around the entire frame, creating a rock-solid feel while offering extra stability against twisting.
